Newsletter #7 : November 2006
Dear Opalstop Members,
Welcome to the monthly newsletter for November.
* Winding down for the year.
* Christmas news
* Website news.
Now the temperature is starting to move above 30 degrees C we are winding down the mining operations for the year and this will probably be the final newsletter until March 2007. In summing up operations for 2006 our mining department has been quite disappointing due to the lack of any significant finds and the hard terrain we have been working in during the year. Over the summer we will be looking closely at the mining operations and working out a new strategy for 2007. This will more than likely include moving the equipment to a new field and start afresh.On the other hand we are very happy with the progress of our opal jewellery department which is going from strength to strength. 2006 saw us introduce our new inlay range of opal jewellery to the market and also some wonderful new designs of boulder opal pieces in silver which have proved to be extremely popular. Examples of both inlay and the new boulder pieces can viewed and purchased online. We are continually striving to meet the publics demands for new and interesting opal jewellery and we have some exciting things happening in this regard in 2007.
With Christmas fast approaching we need to set a final date for last orders to be dispatched when buying from our website to make sure all items arrive on time and there are no disappointments on the big day.
* For all International orders the final date for purchases will be Monday the 11th of December.
* For all orders within Australia the final date for purchases will be Monday the 18th of December.
These dates will allow us plenty of time to get order confirmation and dispatch the parcels. At this time of year there is always a chance of delivery delay due to the bulk of items being sent around the world. After these dates we cannot guarantee delivery on time for Christmas presents.
Those that have visited our website recently will notice we have added some inlay opal items from our catalogue range. These stunning pieces all contain genuine solid black opal set in 18K gold. We have added 5 beautiful pendants and 4 sets of earrings. Also we are offering a huge discount on our opal inlay sterling silver bangles up until Christmas or until stocks last. Whichever comes first. These bangles are of solid sterling silver construction which is rhodium plated and comes with solid black opal accompanied by cubic zirconia.There are two colour types to choose from , blue/green or red fire. Down to AUS$250.00 from $320.00 these make an excellent gift for any occasion.Free presentation box and free shipping worldwide is also included in this great Christmas offer. To view these wonderful items visit the monthly specials page or the category "opal bracelets & bangles"
For most of the members Christmas will be quite different to how we spend it in Australia. It's usually cold beer , salads and prawns to eat with a lot of swimming in the pool to cool down. This year due to my connections with the UK through marriage I will be enjoying some central heating with roast dinner and a few pints at the local later on. I'm hoping for a bit of snow to cap it off. That's the beauty of travel. The world would be a boring place if everywhere was the same.
Thanks again for reading, and on behalf of everyone at The Opalstop I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy new year.
