Newsletter #9 : October 2007

Dear Opalstop Members,

Welcome to a special Opalstop newsletter for the month of October.

This Month:

* Opal the birthstone

* News on Silver

* News on Gold

As most of you are aware Opal is the birthstone for October and so this brings Opal to the minds of many people. What a great present for anyone born in the month of October.

Another fact regarding opal and birth that a lot of people may not know is that opal is the birthstone for the 18th hour. So if you happened to be born in October in the 18th hour of the day, you have a doubly special connection with Opal.

Picture of Opal inlay pendant.Regular visitors to our website will notice that we are constantly adding new and varied types and designs of opal jewellery to the extensive range we already have on offer. The focus of late has been to add more items which may be appealing to the younger age groups to allow everyone to enjoy owning a special piece of opal jewellery. This is also reflected in the fact that we are making some wonderful pieces in Silver, as we all know this is very popular with the younger generation. So if you are looking for that special gift for a Daughter, Grandchild, or Niece take a look at our new range of inlay pendants, rings and bangles.

During our recent trade show season we had a great response for these products from the younger buyers who fell in love with all the new designs.

Silver is also a great cost effective way to obtain a beautiful piece of Opal jewellery regardless of your age or tastes. All our silver opal jewellery is rhodium plated which gives your silver jewellery a lasting shine to make it always look brand new.

As most will be aware the price of gold is pushing toward US$750.00 an ounce making gold jewellery just too expensive for some to buy. I read an analyst report a number of weeks ago suggesting gold could possibly reach US$1500 an ounce! They don't call it a precious metal for nothing.

For example, these opal earrings are made from 14K yellow gold and are inlaid with 8 solid black opals all for just AUD$350.00.

This is just one example of the great value you can find in our online shop, even with the price of gold going through the roof. We are able to offer these great discounted prices compared to normal retailers due to the fact we are opal miners and opal jewellery manufacturers.

That's about it for this month so thanks for reading and happy Opal October birthday.
